Health of the Hive
The Booker T. Washington Foundation for Excellence is leading the charge for the HEALTH OF THE HIVE to raise $2.875 million to build a new state-of-the art Wellness Center that will provide students and athletes access to a best-in-class facility, equipment and curriculum that will educate students in lifelong habits that promote physical, nutritional and mental health.
While the Foundation continues its mission to support academic excellence at Booker T, proceeds from this year’s Gospel, Grits and Gershwin (GGG) event will be dedicated to the HEALTH OF THE HIVE capital campaign.

We fund a variety of school projects to
support overall learning goals.
Scientific Calculators
Student Support
The Foundation has purchased 180 scientific calculators for classroom and testing use. This puts a graphing calculator in the hands of each math student and IB/AP/PSAT test taker.
Chromebooks
Student Support
Distance learning has changed the face of education. The Foundation purchased 105 Chromebooks and three classroom charging stations to make sure that all Hornets have the technology they need to succeed.
Robotics Kits
Student Support
The Foundation purchased individual robotics kits that allow students hands-on experience with programmable robots.
Online Learning Tools
Supports Students
Students need access to the best resources available. The Foundation provides school-wide subscriptions to DeltaMath Plus, Edpuzzle Pro, TurnItIn.com and Vocabulary.com to help Hornets achieve excellence.
